These Daily Practice Booklets allows the teacher to deliver the step by step letter lessons, using the overhead projector, to the students each day. This practice will teach letter shapes, uppercase, lowercase and numbers in a unique and effective way. They are top bound so the student’s hand won’t be in the way of the binding.
Foundation Daily Practice Workbook
In addition to offering effective step by step drawing lessons, we also advocate for 15 minutes a day of Daily Practice. This time is spent with the teacher at the document camera with all students facing the screen or smart board. Step by Step the teacher will offer a writing session that showcases pre-writing strokes, the letter/number shapes, pressure skills, number formation and so much more.
Slow saves time. When we slow children down by showing them each motion of the pencil as they write the letters, we get memorization of the hands forming the letters properly. Kindergarten is such an important year for teaching formation. We slow them way down then speed them up as their formation is correct.
